This course is based on the most current veterinary industry guidelines for CPR and first aid for dogs and cats. These guidelines have shown to increase survival rates in animals experiencing cardiopulmonary arrest. This comprehensive and highly engaging online course includes presentations and the latest in CPR techniques and common medical emergencies that happen to pets. In addition to CPR, participants will learn how to safely handle, restrain and transport sick and/or injured pets, obtain vital signs and assess an emergency situation, manage common medical emergencies including shock, allergies, burns, wounds and bandaging, trauma, poisoning, and choking.
